Holiday Rentals

  • Apartment Booking

    Your booking is confirmed when Stay Barcelona Apartments receives your pre-payment. You will receive the confirmation email from Stay Barcelona Apartments within 24 hours weekdays or 48 hours weekends and holiday days.

    Confirmation email contains all your booking details: ( apartment address, contact person phone number, balance due on arrival and other arrival and departure important information).

    Prepayment should be made by telephone, by bank transfer or by credit card.

    *Please note if you make a prepayment by bank transfer send us the receipt to: info@staybarcelonaapartments.com. Please also indicate  your reservation dates, apartment name and your information ( name, email, phone number). Please also take note the prepayment  for an apartment must be sent  at least 3 business days before your arrival date.

    Upon your arrival, you must pay the balance due and the refundable damage deposit. Please check on your confirmation email the payment method of the apartment chosen.

     

  • Payment Details

    You must pay the balance due in cash or credit card upon your arrival. Please note that there is a 3,5% extra fee by paying with American Express. If you need further information please contact our customer service. Please note that under certain circumstances, payment can also be made via bank transfer provided that: 

    • The corresponding net amount is received in our bank account 7 days prior to arrival (bank charges are paid for by the guest)
    • We have confirmed  receipt of such amount in writing.

     

  • Cancellation Policy

    All cancellations or changes must be made via email or fax. Cancellations or changes by phone are not accepted.

    The pre-paid booking deposit will not be refunded in the event of cancellation without any exception.

    In the event of cancellation of a fully paid booking (100% cost of stay), there is a cancellation charge corresponding to the number of days it was made prior to the day of arrival:

    • If you cancel less than 15 days before your arrival date : Stay Barcelona Apartments will proceed to charge 100% of the total amount without cleaning fee.
    • If you cancel your reservation 30 or less days before your arrival date: we will charge you 25% of the total amount without cleaning fee.
    • If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before your arrival date: we will charge you 20% of the total amount without cleaning fee.

    If the guest changes the dates or apartment , it will be considered a new booking and will be subject to the standard cancellation procedures.

    It is strongly recommended that clients purchase holiday cancellation insurance. Any cancellation will be subject to the aforementioned cancellation  policy.

    If Stay Barcelona Apartments is not able to provide the client with the property s/he booked, the client will be informed and will be offered a new property with similar or better characteristics,  If both parties are not able to reach an agreement, the client will be refunded the amount paid.

     

  • Damage Deposit

    Upon arrival guests will be asked to provide a damage deposit as well as a valid credit card number as guarantee for the apartment and its content for any damages caused.

    Please note that by signing our Booking Terms & Conditions you agree that any damages caused by you or your accompanying party will be deducted from your damage deposit. Also you will be liable for any excess damages. 

    Also note that once you arrived to the apartment you will sign the contract which include the stay rules. Keep in mind that by this you will be accepting our terms and conditions specified before.

    This damage deposit should be paid by credit card, and will be refunded to the same credit card number (with an additional 1% fee) in 3 to 8 days period following departure  and after damage inspection. Each apartment has a damage diposit between 300€ and 500€. You will be asked for this amount upon your arrival.

  • Agency Fee

    Stay Barcelona Apartments retains the right to charge the agency fee in case of long-term rentals. The agency fee amount is calculated based on the rental period:

    • 1 month of rental period – 50% of the month rental + VAT (21%)
    • Till 3 months of rental period – 100% of the month rental + VAT (21%)
    • 3 and more months of rental period – 200% of the month rentals + VAT (21%)

     

  • Required Documentation

    Students

    • University registration document or pay slip
    • Letter for Proof of Income + Parental letter of guarantee with the signature and passport photocopies of both parents (or guarantors in the case that parents are unavailable)
    • Photocopy of your passport/DNI/NIE
    • Contact address other than the apartment you’re about to rent
    • Bank account number

    Companies and freelancers

    • Powers of attorney
    • ID of the attorney-holder
    • Identification number of the company
    • Letter for Proof of Income
    • Income tax declaration statement
    • Company certificate with details of the booking: number of the tenants, names, rental period
    • Contact address of the tenant other than the rented apartment
    • Photocopy of tenant’s passport/DNI/NIE
    • Bank account number

    Employed and others

    • Copy of your employment contract
    • Copies of your last three pay slips
    • Residence permission (studies, work, admission to hospital, etc...)
    • Contact address other than the apartment you’re about to rent
    • Photocopy of your passport/DNI/NIE
    • Bank account number

     

  • Payment Details

    To book an apartment you need to pay 25% of the first month rental and agency fee

    • 3 and more months of rental period – 200% of the month rentals

     

General Conditions

  • Arrival and Departure

    Get ready for  your arrival

    Please be sure that you provide us with your correct arrival time, we need to plan your check-in time and also please inform your contact person about any changes or delays, you will find her/his phone number on your email confirmation.

    Please also be aware that  your contact person will have your phone number and email in case s/he needs to contact you. Please send us an email as soon as you confirm your arrival time to: info@staybarcelonaapartments.com or call us on: 0034 93 514 16 59

    Arrival day

    Please contact our welcome staff (the contact number is on your email confirmation). As soon as you  arrive to Barcelona, (no matter if you travel by plane, train or car) call us and we will arrange a meeting at our office or directly at the apartment.

    Our welcome staff will meet you with keys at your apartment by scheduled appointment and also show you around the apartment. Occasionally it may be necessary for you to come to Stay Barcelona Apartments office to pick up your keys and sign the contract.

    The apartment will be available from 2pm. Please kindly take note if the apartment rented is ready before that time we will do our best to accommodate you as soon as possible. Also, please remember your arrival may not be the only arrival on the same day.

    Please note if you check-in  after 21:00 there is a €30 extra fee.

    If your check-in is after 00:00 there is a €50 extra fee.

    Our check-in time is available till 02:30.

     

    Your departure from the apartment

    Check-out is before 11.00am.  If you want to stay longer, please contact us before your arrival time and we will try our best to accommodate your needs. Also take note that late check-out depending on the time, (until 6pm) will have a charge  (50% of the apartment rental price per night). Leaving any time after 6pm will incur an additional charge corresponding to the full rental price per night of the apartment.

    Any late departures must be prearranged and approved by Stay Barcelona Apartments. Please note leaving the apartment without prior authorization will forfit deposit.

    Please also leave the apartment clean and tidy with all waste correctly disposed of,  leave the keys on the table and close the door behind you after making sure that you have all your personal belongings with you and after ensuring that the main door to the building is not locked with a key.

    We remind you we have our transportation service available from the apartment to the airport, please contact our customer service to book it.

     

  • Apartment Cleaning

    The apartment will be clean and ready prior to guests arrival.

    Before leaving, Customer must leave the apartment in good condition, i.e. all waste should be correctly dispos

     

  • Important Guest Information

    The customer should inform Stay Barcelona Apartments of the total number of guests in the booking.

    Only those persons confirmed  in the booking made by the customer may enter the apartment, unless another agreement has been reached with Stay Barcelona Apartments.

    Please remember the number of guests using the apartment should not exceed the number assigned to each apartment, except infants under the age of two.

    Pets are not allowed unless permission has been specifically granted.

    Should the client fail to comply with any of the aforementioned Terms and Conditions, Stay Barcelona Apartments reserves the right to ask the client to leave the apartment, and the client in question can not request any form of compensation.

  • Catalonian Tourist Tax

    On 1 November 2012, a tourist tax was imposed by the Government of Catalonia.

    Charge in Catalonia: 2,48€ per person per night (VAT included)
    Applies to: All adults aged 16 years and over
    Maximum charge: 7 nights

    How to pay: The tax must be paid to the owner/representative of the property upon arrival. The tax will then be transferred to the Generalitat de Catalunya.

  • Apartment Rules

    Guests in a Stay Barcelona Apartments should be aware about noise regulations and respect for other residents between 10pm and 10 am. Loud music and parties are strictly forbidden.  If loud music is played or a party is held and the neighbours complain and/or police are called, the guests may be immediately removed from the apartment regardeoless of the time, day or night.

    We would appreciate your full cooperation in this matter and we hope you understand that these rules are necessary, as our apartments are located in residential buildings with people that have to do their daily routine , i.e. get up early and go to work. The quiet time in the evening for the neighbours should be respected.

    The client, on signing the contract at check-in agrees to behave responsibly and correctly on behalf of their accompanying party as well as themselves. If this person, or any of the accompanying party behaves in an unsuitable and incorrect manner, Stay Barcelona Apartments reserves the right to ask the person and their accompanying party to leave the apartment. From that moment on they will have no right to future claims or any form of compensation  the customer will lose all payments made, apartment rental and damage deposit.

    Please also we remind you that on booking an apartment with Stay Barcelona Apartments you automatically accept our Booking Terms, which we expect you to comply with. You will also have to sign these Terms and Conditions at check-in on the day of your arrival.

     

  • Liability

    Neither Stay Barcelona Apartments nor the owner will be held responsible for any direct or indirect damages caused to the apartment as consequence of use by the client. This includes damages, insurance, loss due to fire, theft, and misconduct.

    In the event that the client fails to comply with the aforementioned Booking terms and conditions Stay Barcelona Apartments reserves the right to ask the client to leave the apartment, and the client in question, can not request any form of compensation.

     

  • Our Website Information

    Stay Barcelona Apartments reserves the right to change the published information on the website at any time including prices, descriptions and photos.

    Stay Barcelona Apartments reserves the right to update any of these Booking Terms and Conditions at any time if it is deemed necessary, and in the interest of the company.

    Customers are responsible for reading Booking Terms and Conditions. Accepting the use of this website immediately implies that they have accepted any changes that may be made by any third party, and that the third party commits to complying with these changes.

    These Booking Terms and Conditions do not affect the statutory rights of the user.

     

  • Personal Data Protection Act

    In accordance with that set forth under current legislation as regards Personal Data Protection, you are hereby informed contracting our services implies your personal data will be included in an automated file held by Stay Barcelona Apartments, for carrying out requested administration and commercial purposes.
